    Formulas and assumptions

    Useful estimates, not pretend precision.

SaaS metrics depend on consistent definitions and clean billing data. This calculator exposes its simplified formulas so you can spot where your own reporting needs a more detailed cohort model.

This tool is for planning and education. It is not accounting, investment or financial advice, and the 12-month figure is not a forecast guarantee.
MRR, ARR and net new MRR

ARR = MRR × 12. Net new MRR adds new and expansion MRR, then subtracts contraction and churned MRR.

    Net revenue retention (NRR)

(Starting MRR + expansion − contraction − churn) ÷ starting MRR. New-customer MRR is excluded because NRR measures the existing customer base.

    Customer acquisition cost (CAC)

Sales and marketing spend ÷ new customers. Use spend and customers from the same reporting period.

    Estimated customer lifetime value (LTV)

ARPA × gross margin ÷ monthly customer churn rate. This simplified estimate assumes churn remains stable and does not model cohorts, expansion or discounting.

CAC payback and 12-month run rate

CAC payback divides CAC by monthly gross-margin revenue per customer. The run-rate projection repeats the same entered net new MRR for 12 months without compounding or seasonality.

What SaaS metrics does this calculator include?

MRR, ARR, ARPA, net new MRR, MRR growth, NRR, CAC, LTV, CAC payback, LTV to CAC and a simple 12-month MRR run rate.

Does this calculator store my business data?

No. The calculation runs locally in your browser and does not send your entered metrics to a server.

Is the 12-month result a financial guarantee?

No. It is a simple planning estimate that repeats the same net MRR change for twelve months.
